Shared Horizon Nepal

Assumption of Risk

Mountain biking and adventure travel in Nepal involve inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, collisions, technical and steep terrain, rough roads and trails, changing weather conditions, altitude, remote locations, road traffic, vehicle travel, natural hazards, and limited access to medical facilities. I understand that these activities may result in injury, illness, property damage, or, in extreme circumstances, death. I voluntarily choose to participate and accept the inherent risks associated with the adventure.

Release and Waiver

I understand and voluntarily accept the risks associated with participating in a Shared Horizon Nepal adventure. To the extent permitted by applicable law, I agree to release and hold harmless Shared Horizon Nepal, its owners, guides, staff, contractors, and representatives from claims, liabilities, or expenses arising from my participation, including those resulting from the inherent risks of the activities.

I understand that this waiver does not limit or exclude any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded under applicable law.

Medical & Fitness Declaration

I confirm that I am physically and mentally capable of participating in the activities included in my Shared Horizon Nepal adventure. I understand that mountain biking, hiking, high-altitude travel, and other adventure activities can be physically demanding.

I agree to inform Shared Horizon Nepal and its guides of any medical condition, injury, allergy, medication, or physical limitation that may affect my ability to participate safely.

I understand that Shared Horizon Nepal and its guides may recommend that I modify or stop an activity if they believe continuing could present a safety risk.

Emergency Assistance & Evacuation

I understand that adventure activities in Nepal may take place in remote areas where access to medical care and emergency services may be limited or delayed.

In the event of an accident, illness, injury, or other emergency, I authorize Shared Horizon Nepal and its guides to take reasonable steps to arrange or facilitate emergency assistance, medical treatment, transportation, or evacuation when considered necessary.

I understand that the costs of medical treatment, transportation, helicopter evacuation, rescue, or other emergency services may be my responsibility, subject to the terms of my insurance coverage.

Travel & Adventure Insurance

I understand that Shared Horizon Nepal strongly recommends that all participants obtain comprehensive travel and adventure insurance before joining a trip.

I am responsible for ensuring that my insurance provides appropriate coverage for the activities included in my trip, including mountain biking, high-altitude activities, medical treatment, emergency rescue, and evacuation where applicable.

I understand that Shared Horizon Nepal is not responsible for costs that are not covered by my insurance or for losses arising from inadequate or unavailable insurance coverage.

Participant Agreement

I confirm that I have read and understood this Participant Waiver & Release and have had the opportunity to ask questions about its terms. I understand the risks involved in participating in a Shared Horizon Nepal adventure and voluntarily agree to the terms of this waiver.
